Rentals - Glacier Nordic Ski Team will again have a gear rental program that is focused on appropriate skate gear for the Jet skiers. We have purchased more poles and hope to fill in some boot sizes. We will also rent gear for prep or devo team kids as available, but there is limited gear for 125 lbs +. The rental program will begin as soon as the golf course is open for skiing – gear goes quickly and while it is possible for the club to order new gear, budget allowing, it is harder to find as the season goes on. So please come in as early! Rentals will be $55 for the season for a set of skis, boots and 1 or 2 sets of poles. You will receive an email when we are ready to begin renting. (Late November or early December we hope!) Note that this rental program is separate from the Glacier Nordic Shop (Glacier Cyclery) rentals at the golf course.
Buy versus Rent – Consider buying gear if you (or your child): have stopped growing; are actively racing; skiing times other then the golf course season, or have multiple children to hand down to. We will forward pricing sheets for gear in the next week – it can be kind of overwhelming, particularly with multiple kids so it is helpful to come with a gear purchase plan in mind.
Scholarships Scholarships are potentially available for financial need or hardship situations for tuition and gear rental from the Glacier Nordic Club or directly to families through the Whitefish Youth Opportunity Foundation – contact us for
