Announcements: Grooming, Glacier Glide, TNRR

January 8, 2013

Hello everyone! How ’bout all that new pow-pow out there…all that groomed pow-pow. Speaking of which, we’ve got some really great news for you.

With the Whitefish Mountain Resort’s thumbs up for grooming Big Mountain Nordic trails the remainder of the 2012-2013 season (thanks again WMR!), the GNC board unanimously approved the additional (and unbudgeted) costs to keep your Nordic dream alive at altitude.

The additional fuel, labor, and workman’s comp for all this grooming…we’ve got you covered. Please encourage your buds who ski up there to support these grooming costs. There are two ways Big Mountain Nordic skiers can do that:

  1. Buy a season membership pass.
  2. Make a contribution to Glacier Nordic Club (call us: 253.0361).

Thank you, thank you , thank you.

Glacier Glide
For the Glacier Glide race this coming Sunday (the 13th), the race course will be on both the north and south side of the golf course (at the Glacier Nordic Center). If you’re racing the 18k, plan on a double loop on the south side.

REMINDER: The Tuesday Night Relay Races (TNRR) have begun!

January 8, Race #1. Freestyle 3×3 Relay.
Grouse Loop 1.7 km (2 person teams; each skis 3 laps)

Registration and Check-in: 5:40–6:00 pm at the Glacier Nordic Center Kiosk
Race start: 6:05 pm. Teams selected each evening by race organizer
